After spending the morning cleaning the house I got sick of being inside and decided to take the girls outside with some sidewalk chalk. They had a ball playing hopscotch and making up their own games--although I must admit I never quite figured out the rules of Ellie's game. Somehow, despite the phrase, it seems there are very few"Lazy Days" during the summer, and it was very nice just to take some time to relax. It was especially nice having the house clean before we went out. I consider it a moral victory when the house stays clean for an hour during the day.
